Marketing Yourself Forward – The 4 Ps of Career Visibility
Make your professional contribution easier to recognize. Based on my book “Marketing Yourself Forward,” this interactive workshop applies the 4 Ps of marketing to your career, helping you articulate your value, build visibility and communicate with confid
You deliver good work. Can the people making decisions about opportunities, projects and progression clearly explain the value you bring?
“Marketing Yourself Forward” is an interactive workshop based on my book of the same name. Together, we apply the four classic Ps of marketing to your professional development, creating a practical framework for how you position yourself and communicate your contribution.
I combine my experience in international corporate marketing and communications with my work as a career coach and mentor. Short teaching segments alternate with individual reflection, practical exercises and peer feedback.
The four Ps we explore
Product – What contribution do you make?
Identify your strengths and the outcomes you help others achieve. Compare your own perception with feedback from others and begin to articulate what makes your professional contribution distinctive.
Place – Where can the right people find you?
Map where you are currently visible against where relevant decision-makers and professional contacts focus their attention. Identify opportunities to strengthen your presence through internal networks, communities, events or professional platforms.
Promotion – How do you communicate your value?
Develop a clear statement explaining whom you help, what outcome you enable and what distinguishes your approach. Test it with others and refine it until it sounds specific, natural and recognizably yours.
Price – How do you stand behind your value?
Reflect on what you accept, ask for and decline, and the expectations these choices can create. Identify a practical step to communicate your contribution and boundaries more intentionally.
